Description
Of The Program:

This
program prepares students for an entry level career
as a Medical Records Technician, Health Information
Technician, Medical Billing Clerk, Medical Coding Technician,
or a Medical Transcriber. In this program students will
learn: medical terminology; basic anatomy and physiology;
medical transcription; clinical classification systems;
medical coding (CPT/ICS-9); clinical records management;
medical office procedures; insurance and medical billing;
and information technologies including industry applications
such as Medisoft. This program also contains courses
in personal computer fundamentals, word processing,
spreadsheet design and management, database design and
management and creating dynamic presentations There
is also a 120-hour internship with a medical services
