Medical Office Specialist

This program prepares students for an entry level career as a Medical Records Technician, Health Information Technician, Medical Billing Clerk, Medical Coding Technician, or a Medical Transcriber. In this program students will learn: medical terminology; basic anatomy and physiology; medical transcription; clinical classification systems; medical coding (CPT/ICD-9); clinical records management; medical office procedures; insurance and medical billing; and information technologies including industry applications such as Medisoft.

Medical Office Specialist with Internship

This program also offers an option with an internship. This is a 120-hour internship with a medical services provider. Gain work as a Medical Administrative Assistant, Billing Clerk, Health Information Technician, Medical Transcriber, or Medical Records Technician.
