3 Miles for 4 Paws Walkathon
Second Chance for Animals will be hosting a fundraising Walkathon
on Sunday, May 1 at 1pm at the Franklin Township
Animal Shelter at 475 Demott Lane, Somerset, NJ. There
will be a 3-mile route from the shelter and back. Suggested
contribution is $10 for adults, $5.00 for ages 15 and under.
No pre-registration required. Light refreshments will be available.

Health Fair
The Praising Healthy Ministry of Mt. Zion AME Church, 39
Morris Street, New Brunswick, will be hosting a spring community
health fair on April 30th beginning at 10:00 am. The
event will include Free Health Screenings, sample products and promotional
items, as well as, information from several community health organizations.
There will also be a special workshop on planning for Long Term
Care. Lunch featuring healthy food recipes from the Getting Fit
with MZ Cookbook will be served. Special Health Forum begins at
1:00 PM featuring physical and spiritual health messages regarding
ailments impacting our community, new prescription assistance drug
program, live entertainment and door prizes. Rev. Joseph A. Hooper,
