3 Miles for 4 Paws Walkathon

Second Chance for Animals will be hosting a fundraising Walkathon on Sunday, May 1 at 1pm at the Franklin Township Animal Shelter at 475 Demott Lane, Somerset, NJ. There will be a 3-mile route from the shelter and back. Suggested contribution is $10 for adults, $5.00 for ages 15 and under. No pre-registration required. Light refreshments will be available. Community Health Fair
The Praising Healthy Ministry of Mt. Zion AME Church, 39 Morris Street, New Brunswick, will be hosting a spring community health fair on April 30th beginning at 10:00 am. The event will include Free Health Screenings, sample products and promotional items, as well as, information from several community health organizations. There will also be a special workshop on planning for Long Term Care. Lunch featuring healthy food recipes from the Getting Fit with MZ Cookbook will be served. Special Health Forum begins at 1:00 PM featuring physical and spiritual health messages regarding ailments impacting our community, new prescription assistance drug program, live entertainment and door prizes. Albus Cavus is hosting an international street art festival - Streets 2K5 - in New Brunswick, NJ. The streets are a boundless gallery of styles, techniques and imagination blended into a spectacular rainbow of creativity.

April 1 - May 6, 2k5 - train station exhibit, opens on April 1st at 7pm - 9pm
April 10 - May 1, 2k5 - Harvest Moon exhibit, opens on April l10th at 4pm - 6pm
April 17 - May 15, 2k5 - Yoga Vayu exhibit, opens on April 17th at 8pm - 0pm

Saturday, April 30, 2k5:
10am - 5pm: bands, open mic, live painting, art exhibits, puppet theater and other performers in feaster park
